Some additional ANA Commando Patches in wear.
Thought this was a good pic. Check out the man on the left. SSI and a small insignia on the front of the boonie. First time I had seen that set up.
Barely visible Red ANA Commando Skull on the right side sleeve velcro of this SF man.
A scarce two piece on this AFSOC CCT.
Last one for now. Nice Special Forces example.
All photographs are open source.

Re: Afghan National Army Commando Patches
Me too Jason!! Had been looking forever to find one and then out of no where a buddy came back from in-theatre with a bag of patches asking if there was anything there that I needed. Bingo! A nice used one and and just a bit salty ........

Re: Afghan National Army Commando Patches
Another example in wear. The operator is Sergeant First Class Wyatt A. Goldsmith who was assigned to A Company, 3rd Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) at the time of his death. SFC Goldsmith was killed in action on 15 July 2011 in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. Interesting to note that ANA Commando patch does not have the Special Forces tab. Open source photograph.

These wings are the Afghan Air Assault Wings. I was in RC East when the first class graduated at BAF in March or April 2010. I have a pic of the first class and the original wings. The wings had a tan background. Their AASLT Course isn't like ours. It has more to do with conducting air mobile operations. Tom

Great Pic! Last month I picked up the pirate looking patch in Parwan, AFG, two of them (one in black like this one and another with a red background). Anyone know why they have different colors?
BTW, my black one has female velcro on it so it was made to be worn on the vest (ie mag pouch) and not the uniform.

Re: Afghan National Army Commando Patches
Tom, it would be cool if you could post those pirate patches. Apparently the commandos are wearing those. I never saw one before.
Not sure on color difference. It guess it is same thing with white or red punisher skull patches.
