Just picked this vest up tonight in a trade. It is dated 2001 and has definitely seen combat. I have offered this for sale to a IACMC member. If he doesn't want it....this will be up for sale on here or on Ebay.

I know nothing in Canadian body armor and flak vests, but it looks like two variants (your and the one on website you linked). Here's the difference I found ;
For me, they are two variants (or probably because of manufacturer ???). The two flak jackets (your and the one from website linked in your post) shows some small differences ;
1. Manufacturer
2. Number of contract
3. NSN number
4. Design variations (weapons block on/under shoulder pads, small straps on shoulder remove on your jacket to permit the use of weapons block,...).
For me, they are two variants because exactly same model of jacket, with same size but NSN are differents !

I saw one of these at a gun show for $20 and passed it up... kind of wishing I hadn't, but then again I realised how much space I'd lose storing another armour vest!

2001 is to late a date for these. They were outdated by the CADPAT Balitic Vest in 1999/2000. These were made shortly after GF 1 and used in the former Yugoslavia Peace Keeping missions. The one with the lower NSN is, I believe, the earlier version.

Interesting information ! By chance, do you have picture(s) of variants ?

Great information on these vests, Recon. However, it would nice if you would introduce yourself in the INTRODUCTIONS section so we could know a little more about you and your collecting interests. Thanks!
