OK, this is quite the coincidence.  A few months ago I won several pallets of uniforms from the auction of a closed surplus store in Clarksville, TN.

Among the DCUs, I also ended up with a uniform from the same Soldier as your Pathfinder.

I was drawn to it as I was actually an Army Pathfinder 30 years ago.

    What are the odds?

BTW - the writing: 38s me 20930 17227 are MGRS (Military Grid Reference System) coordinates. While I don't have one of my old deployment maps just handy, this coordinate looks like its within Iraq.

    Bryan,
Small world! I got the SFC Endsley top off of ebay a few weeks ago and I'm pretty sure the shipper was located in TN. And thank you for deciphering the grid coordinates. If I'm reading them correctly and using google maps correctly, looks like that location is east of Hawija, towards Kirkuk.

You guys that is a great story on those SFC Endsley tops. And the grids. Very cool and thanks for connecting the dots and adding to history. Mark
