    Winged Skull Patch Empty Winged Skull Patch

    Just wondering if anyone can help with an ID of this patch. I've got it as part of a small grouping from a journalist from the Wall Street Journal.

    He thought it was from Apache Co., 1st Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division. As he was with them in the Jalrez Valley, Wardak Province, Afghanistan, in spring 2010. But he has done some digging and doesn't believe it so. Seems to be a well made patch, possibly later Afghanistan made period. But I'm not 100% up to speed with the later style Afghan patches.
