Today was a lazy Sunday, so I got to work on this Novembers Veterans Day display for my kids School. Ive shown the kids the six color desert camo for a few years now, so I thought I would try something different and show them what a combat vehicle crewman from that era would look like. I was fortunate to find some nice CVC coveralls this morning at a flea market. I still need the M-25AGas mask, but Im sure I can find one by November.  Any comments or critiques are welcome.  I hope you all enjoy it.
    Thanks
    Vic

I have a friend who was a tanker in DS/DS and his uniform looked almost the same as the one you put together. I think the big difference was he went and bought 'tanker' boots and used those instead of the issued models. Other that that your display looks like it is done correctly. Pretty nice of you to teach the kids something they normally would not learn in class.

Thanks, I saw photos of both boots being worn, and right now those are what I had handy. I hope to pick up an all leather pair next week. The kids, and teachers love the displays. And I love doing it for them. The hardest part for me is trying not to show them the same display more than once. But somehow, much to my wife’s dismay, I manage to find new stuff to display.

Very good display. Good to see more modern displays popping up in collections.
