Desert Tan Top Empty Desert Tan Top

Post by bryanbg Fri Feb 02, 2018 12:53 am

Another top I picked up today.   The material feels light - almost like the cotton OG-107 material.

At some point it had patches affixed to it: name tape, organization tape (over left breast pocket), and some unit/organization patch.

I only paid $1 for it, so I'm not really broken up over it if it's not military - possible this might have been law enforcement, however the tags seem military-style (even though this garment bears a "Made in China" tag.  It sort of "feels" military to me.  I could be wrong.

    I'd appreciate any insight.

    Thanks -

    Bryan

I'm probably off but it resembles the uniforms worn by some of the more elite aviation units early on. Based on country of origin it isn't but its got that look.

I have had a couple pieces with that sort of material and they were all made in China. They just did not feel like a quality product in material or construction.

I do have a normal issue US Army top in that pattern and color but in a different material; not rip-stop. It has normal government issue tags on the inside. I can look for it and post some pictures to compare but it is stored in the shed and it is 7 below zero today so have to wait until it gets warmer out.

Have to admit; my dedication ends right about zero degrees these days. In the days of my youth, when I was invincible, my dedication was closer to ten below!

I can respect that. Enjoy the weekend. I imagine at this point it's like waiting for company to leave with everyone in town for the game.
