Good afternoon. Recent pickup in a SF grouping. Team patch or something he picked up in a trade? Thanks.

Re: Patch Help
Thanks Fred. The numbers are throwing me. I didn't get it direct so no chance to ask the original owner.

Re: Patch Help
Ahhh ... It did come out of the Bragg area. So if I understand the numbering correctly (which I'm not confident I do) this would have been prior to the 4 number system. 3 for 3d SFG ODA 46? The 4 represented by the 4 knuckles? Now this is where I get a little lost. ODA 46 would have been which team of which company of which Bn?
Thanks everyone

Re: Patch Help
I *think* its 6th Team, A Co, 1st BN, 3rd SFG

Re: Patch Help
It's funny. I found the same web site after I posted the question. I think the 4 is A Co 2d Bn. 6 being 6th team.

Re: Patch Help
Here's the patch I was talking about. I figured it could have been a patch for the ODA 0113 en 0116 teams: http://www.botrmilitaria.com/_p/prd1/4597241181/product/afghan-made-oda---0116-10th-sfg-patch

Re: Patch Help
ODA-3336. C Company, 3rd Battalion, 3rd SFG(A). Using only the last two digits for 3rd Bn, 6th Team. More and more teams are using ambiguous numbering on their insignia.
Have a similar patch and team coin incorporating the knuckles and full 3336 team number. Have a photograph in-wear that I will try and dig up also.

Re: Patch Help
Thanks for the information and look forward to your pics when you dig it out.
I'm telling you. I may never figure out the team numbering system.

My pleasure. If the Team is using the 4th Battalion numbering revision (which most newer insignia is or should be) the breakdown is Group - Battalion - Company - Team. So 3336 is 3rd SFG(A) - 3rd Battalion - C Company - 6th Team. Hope this helps ....

Re: Patch Help
I just saw a 3rd group guy wearing a team shirt with the brass knuckles on the back....
Front showed the zombie head logo (on left chest with 3336 through the open mouth).
I started a conversation about the shirt, and it was explained to me that the "Zombie" logo was developed circa 2010 and was used throughout 3rd Battalion as the prefix to the teams...."Zombie36" as an example here. It was stated that one of the Deltas on the team at that time had a hand at art; that is where the logo came from.
