I have had this happen a couple of times now, an item lets say worth $150 is bid up to about double what its worth and at the last minute of the auction it drops like a rock because the bid was pulled. so you get suspicious and check and find out both bidders have little or no feed back and both are based out of Hong Kong, a week goes by and they don't pay so you relist and bam! same thing but two different accounts both out of Hong Kong and both with little or no feedback. you wait a week and still no payment so you decide to wait before relisting and even a month later the same thing happens again. it stopped happening for a couple of months but I just had the first part happen again and I know how its going to play out. I think its all the same guy as the buyer names are always very similar. has anyone else had this happen or have I just managed to tick off some creep in Hong Kong?

Never had these issues, but be sure to report every account to ebay so they can start to deal with it.

I have not but I really don's list and sell a lot. Seems to happen all over though and I have run into it before - jacking the price of an auction up with two bidders with 1 or 0 feedback ratings.

Beware. In the past this scheme works like this: Usually 3 bidders.....
1) Bidder 1 bids opening bid or low price
2) Bidder 2 bids high number
3) Bidder 3 bids higher bid than bidder 2
4) Minutes (or seconds) before end of auctions, Bidder 2 & 3 cancel bids dropping price back to Bidder #1 (opening bid). Every other potential bidder is not watching because the bidding was "way to high".....Scammer score !
Maybe this is what was happening in your situation, but they (the scammer with all three accounts) were unable to complete the cancellations to score low bid. Maybe two bidder scam format won't work for them.....
Beware !

I hate Chinese buyers.
They don't care about sellers at all.
In description I specifically said no international buyers. Chinese bidders/buyers don't usually read description. So I had to do proper process via ebay: I contact them and tell them that I can't ship to them. In order to cancel the transaction, ebay requires to have both parties agree. I sent them cancel request, they denied it. In end I have to pay ebay precentage out of my pocket and another effort to relist item. Happened twice. Fortunately they don't seem to care about feedback system either.
Chinese buyers are worst of all.

That is an interesting tactic that I haven't come across before. Fortunately, most of my items are BIN. I also only ship internationally via the GSP, which basically deters foreign bidders anyway. LOL.
eBay. Getting more strange every day!

That's exactly what's happening. I've had the exact same thing happen about a dozen times and one of the main reasons I just stopped listing things as auctions on ebay. Everything I put on there now is buy-it-now, no auctions. I spent an entire afternoon on the phone with ebay about this very subject and they literally told me that these buyers have low feedback and they are probably are new and I should cut-them-some-slack... lol. Ebay is a freakin joke these days.

yep, I have had it after this go around I don't ship outside the US unless its with the eBay's global shipping program as it is but that's such a pain in the neck I will not use it after this. ton of bidders asking for combined shipping with the system which I flat out say in each listing cant been done and after I point it out I get messages like "O... well can you do it anyway?" or I get folks asking me to ship stuff cheaper which I also say in the listings that I cant do with the system, anyone that's used it knows PBI is the one that sets the rates not the seller and they don't even let the seller see what they charge. its like half these people are brain dead or just trying to make me mad. errrrrr, I think from now on I will list anything high end as a BIN with immediate payment required, I hate to do it as BIN's always seem to sit for weeks or months before selling but at this rate I don't think I have a lot of options.

For the E-Bay Sellers Out There....you may already know you can exclude specific continents and/or specific countries / territories individually. This works great for "Middle East, Africa, China, Hong Kong", and any other problems spots that you want to squash.
