Here are a few items I brought back from my two trips to Iraq. 2004-2005 (Mosul) and 2007-2008 (East Rashid, Baghdad & Western Baqubah).
Kurdish flag I got from a kid terp in Mosul:
Khanjar that was given to me by a Kurdish NCO in the Iraqi National Guard (formerly ICDC) up in Mosul:
Found this pamphlet and Christmas card in a Koran in Baghdad. Card wishes seasons greetings in English and Arabic:
Prayer rug and a pair of turbah that were found in Baghdad at a sniper position we moved on with intel from our scouts. When we got there we found a pair of sandals, a warm chai pot and this prayer rug layed out with the turbah. I cleared it with the terp before scooping these items up and let him know that they would be displayed.
Ceramic doorbell cover and medal (I believe the medal is a boy's school medal?). Hard to see in the photo but someone previously tried to "X" out Saddam's face with a marker:
