Display ideas

Here are some pictures of displays so we collectors could get idea of how to do it properly and professionally.

Post more pictures if you have some! I for one, would like to see more ideas so I could use for future public displays.

I have no idea. I didn't take pictures of them, I "borrowed" them from other sites.

I don't know if I'll able to get down to the US Army SF museum at Fort Bragg again later this spring, but if I can, I'll be sure to get some photos of a couple of displays there.

Andrew, if I understood you correctly, you'll probably be getting down to the Bragg museum before I have a chance to, so you can have the honour of taking pictures.
PS -- you should see if you can find the 550-cord bracelets in the gift shop there... when I bought mine last year, the proceeds went to benefit wounded servicemen, a worthy $8 investment for a nifty-looking bracelet, I thought.

My buddy sent me photos of those uber-cool SF display. I know one is Desert Storm, not OEF/OIF. I believe those were taken at SF museum at Bragg.

I saw that display in person a few months ago. Its in Dayton Ohio, and is 10 times more impressive in person. I really like the PBPV and AWS CCT vest combo.

At this time, with the exception of the Gothic serpant display you posted below, the WPAFB display is by far the best OEF/OIF museum display I have seen. Pretty much all others have completely incorrect kit.

Ow yeah, 1 thing, I'm going for a DCU uniform not a ACU!

Yeah, agreed. I don't recall seeing SF guys wear FLCs. They might did but not as much as museum showed.

I'll also post non OEF/OIF just for ideas which can be used for OEF/OIF displays.

I found more pictures of displays in AF museum in Dayton, Ohio. I wish those airmen are out of way.

This one is just awesome.

It can be upsetting but would make a great tribute to remember those who didn't get home.

I'm just surprised there's posters to Stop the war in Iraq behind the mannequins...

I found a big map of Samawah (Iraq) I'll place behind my mannequin, as the one on the first pic. Really big size and satellite view !

The exhibit was designed to cover the war from the warfighter's perspective and the public's opinion of it, both for the war, and against the war.
