    Contractor Equipment Empty Contractor Equipment

Post by Armynick Mon Nov 20, 2017 4:33 pm

    Hi,

    I'm new to here.

Is there really a market for ex-contractor vests or other memorabilia such as company polo shirts?

I not only have all of my old kit, but I also have a polo shirt from the Iraqi Currency Exchange, unissued Saddam money and the current money.

My first Blackhawk vest from Mosul in 2004 which saw plenty of action.

    I have photos as proof.

I'm sure most collectors on here would be interested to see your items.

Yes there is, contractors were a big part of the war and will be historically significant in the future.
Here is a section on this forum specifically for contractors: https://oefoif.forumotion.net/f109-pmc-private-contractors I believe the lack of posts is mostly due to the uncommonness of contractor items and not due to lack of interest.
If I am understanding you right when you talk about the market and are looking to sell it sound like you have everything a collector could want, as much stuff as possible, from the vet, and with photos of it in use. Sounds like a real collection center piece.

As mentioned above contractor stuff is pretty collectible, I pick it up whenever it comes my way. Like anything pictures of a contractor in the gear helps prove authenticity which correlates to value. I tend for DCU contractor tops and mainly contracted US government employees for DOD (US Dept. of Defense) and not so much private company contractors. Also if look on Amazon there was a book published on some contractor uniforms. Thanks Clete
