I picked up the last batch of patches today and will be heading home very soon. Thought I would share these as there are some new designs I had not seen before to include a new 777 SMW, Ground branch, and DEA/K-9 patches.
I wanted to post these together as an example of what can be made here. The quality is great and the Trojan Horse came out pretty awesome since all I gave him was photographs to go on. Anyway, These are all cast with some small soldering on the backsides. Neat work.
I think the ODA-000 is like a salesmen sample. That's all I could come up with and since it is in different colors thought that logical. Or it could be some team guy's idea of a joke or taking OPSEC to the extreme.
Thanks. They are cool and the craftsmanship is so much better than I expected. I wish I would have found this guy a long time ago instead of my last deployment. I will try and wear them at the next group ball and see who notices. lol.
David, the Trojan Horse is indeed particularly impressive. Wow.
Fred - I agree the most likely explanation of ODA-000 is a wall sample. I have some different versions of the same patch - not from the Afghan Patch Rescue, but two years prior to that.
