Task Force Lafayette is a french joint army unit created 1st nov.2009.It gathered the most units which served in Afghanistan since 2001 inside ISAF.
This unit has been dissolve at the end november 2012 when french troops retired from Kapisa.

Here is a link to detailing some of its history in OEF. Keep in mind the unit formed under my unit, CJTF-82 (the 82nd Airborne Division), in 2009. They replaced with 3rd SF Group boys who had been working that area for a while. The enemy really stepped up operations in this province, especially the valley, where the French forces set up FOBs. One of my E7s when to work with them as an LNO during that deployment. (2009 - 2010).
