I ran the Arabic Writing by my friend in Iraq and I think you will be pleased!!
His reply -
although the photos are not very clear but the translation is :-
- middle cloth stripe : S(pecial) F(orces) soldier Salaman Miz'il
- leather side stripe from photo ( iraqi helmet) : B(rigade) 68 D(ivision) 2 reconnaissance platoon special forces
- leather side strip from photo ( iraqi helmet 2) : Salman Miz'il

Wow is right Bob! Thanks for helping out. Here are some better photos below. So would this be a pre-invasion 2003 helmet or later? I don't recall for the life of me where I bought or picked it up. Tell your friend thanks, and again thanks for your help!

I don't know anything about helmets so I'm not the person to ask when it was worn.
After looking at the latest picture of your helmet, it looks like there is a set of SF wings inked
into the sweat band on the right side.
