Just wondering if I'm the only on. If not what kind of stuff have you picked up in ND or the upper midwest for that matter? To me it seems as though there is pretty slim pickings for anything that's unique.

Re: Militaria Collectors in ND?
No you are not alone up there in North Dakota (aka ND)! I know several collectors who live in ND, there are not a lot of them but they are there! The guys I know focus on WWII collectibles for the most part.
ND used to be a quiet treasure for military collectors but that ended in the 80's. The percentage of men who served in the military in WWII was high in ND, that means that a high percentage of the male population at that time served and had military stuff. ND was part of the 34th ID and if memory servers me right the 34th had the most days in combat of any WWII infantry divisions.
Most of the guys I know that collect attend a twice yearly military show down in St Paul - at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. Matter of fact that show is coming up; it is the 20th & 21st of this month so a bit over a week from now. It is a small show but the best we have in this area and a bad day at a military show is better then a good day at work.
* For those who might now know that ND stands for the great state of North Dakota. North Dakota might not be the end of the world but I think you can see if from there anyway. Thanks! Zeked

Re: Militaria Collectors in ND?
The show sounds great but is a bit out of the way but. Its nice to know that I'm not alone up here. Also don't forget that that in WWII ND also fielded the 164th Infantry which saw its fare share of action to.
