Re: Iraqi Police uniform
Here is my set. Only two of these I've ever seen.
This is an interesting set here. It is a US made digital camouflage pattern made specefically for the Iraqi National Police. This set was part of the initial contract of digital camouflage for the INP and was part of the restructuring/re-equipping of that group. This set was made by Propper International specefically for the INP and has the Iraqi flag embedded into the camouflage pattern.
The Iraqi National Police (also known as the Iraqi Federal Police) was a paramilitary unit and was consider a Special Police Unit. They weren't an Army unit, but they didn't do normal police duties either. They are a paramilitary organisation designed to bridge the gap between the police and the army.
There is a very interesting back story to this pattern and I'm in the process of writing a long post about it. Thanks for the help Jimmyduncan23!
