Unknown Iraqi patch Empty Unknown Iraqi patch

    Post by P-E Fri Dec 30, 2011 5:55 am

    Hello,

I received today a package from my US friend and inside the box it was a small gift for me :

    Unknown Iraqi patch Iraqi_10

Sadly, I've no idea what's it for...Is that civilian or military ? Which era ?

It has a tan velcro on the back.

Any information is welcome ! Thanks !

Thanks for this response Zvez, and don't worry that's already very friendly to take a look on it !

In comparison with other insignia, do you think it's more a civilian insignia ?

The only think I can tell you is that my friend bought it in a sale in California. Apparently, young boys in the street at this one for sale. Probably a souvenir a member of their family bring at home after their deployment in Iraq.

    HI PE,

A govt. ministry perhaps but not completely sure, don't think it's army per se, it's got the new pattern flag ie no stars incorporated in the design as well as the eagle and shield.

So my best guess is a govt. agency, and Iraq has plenty of those.

My best guess is it is for Border Forces or Ministry of Interior post 2003.
