Grouping Captain 2nd Air-Assault Bandera ROGER DE LAURIA Afghanistan 2010

Hello,

Result from a friendly meeting few months ago with a Captain from the spanish 2nd Air-Assault Bandera Roger de Lauria with whom I have the same interest with german paratroopers during WWII (and by the way, a fan of my books); last Saturday, he offered me the uniforms he had in Afghanistan during his unit rotation by 2010.

Always interesting to have it from the man who worn it and to get live explainations related to the uniform.

This is the first spanish uniform related to ISAF in my collection. He said that he probably did put it in the bin as they received the new camouflage.

I have to add a correction regarding the designation of the Segunda Bandera Roger de Lauria as an air-assault unit.

A few years ago was decided that from the three Battalions (Banderas) of the Brigade, only one would remain a parachute unit (the Third, in Murcia): The other two would be air-assault and air-mobile respectively (The First and the Second, in Madrid)

This plan was abandoned and the three Banderas remained PARACAIDISTAS (parachute).

I think the Zapodores is belonging to SF but I am not sure.
