French Patches from SGTIAs - GTIAs/BATTLEGROUPS in Afghanistan

Here are some fresh patches from Afghanistan.

BATAILLON AQUITAINE (November 2012 - ?)

This 320 men' Battalion is mainly composed of french infantrymen of the 35e Régiment d'Infanterie (35e RI) under Colonel Joret' command. The regiment is located in Belfort. One of our oldest regiment (1604). Named ANJOU in 1671 and then AQUITAINE in 1753.

Other elements are soldiers from : the 19e Régiment de Génie (19e RG) from Besançon, the 1er régiment d’artillerie (1er RA) from Bourogne, and the K9 men from the 132e BCAT from Suippes.

This batallion is supporting and securizing the withdraw of the French forces in Afghanistan; including missions of securisation by the Warehouse camp and Naghlu.

Patch France is worn on the left and the Battalion on the right.



The Battalion patch is containing the 35e RI insignea as well as 7e BB (7e Brigade Blindée) symbols.

The CHAMOIS Combat Team patch was also worn by the 7e BCA/BG ALLOBROGES during the 2010-2011 Tour. I will classify them more in the unofficial french patches thread.

COMPAGNIE DE PROTECTION WAREHOUSE 1er RT (March 2013 - July 2013)

Small grouping from a former menber of the 1er Régiment de Tirailleurs from Epinal.

The tab DFW Détachement Français Warehouse is worn at the top of the Compagnie PROTEC 1er RT patch.
