French Gendarmerie Force Patches in Afghanistan

My first patched shirt made by ZAHID STORE.

The Gendarme from the Prévôté Militaire was assigned to the TASK FORCE BISON (Summer 2010).

Mostly worn on the FOB.

My new find is the MIPFO Moniteur - IP Franchissement Opérationnel' theater made patch.

IP is for Intervention Professionnelle.

The IP is all individual or collective techniques and tactics intented to seize one or few opponents with the strict necessary force.

This is the role of the Instructor (Moniteur) to train Gendarmes to seize somebody in a tree, on a crane or in a cavern as well as investigate, research or evacuate people from confined places.

Here a new tee-shirt in my collection. Get it from a Gendarme who just came back from Afghanistan.

Main embroidery is depicting classical Gendarmerie jobs as the Scale for Justice, the finger print and the magnifying glass for scientific and technical police and the owl for intelligence.

French army left the Suroby at the end of last July.
