Tarsian and Blinkley was founded in Kabul in 2003 by Kurdish-American Sarah Takesh. It made both designer fashion items and Afghan uniforms under US Government contracts. It lost it US contracts to make Afghan uniforms in 2013 because it used non-US made materials and an exemption in a US Law requiring manufacturers to use US made materials ended.

Thanks for posting the information, Cap. I had heard that they had lost the contract due to them using non-US material and I wonder if this specific uniform run may have been what ended the US contract because this fabric is almost guaranteed to be Chinese sourced.
