    I've seen another doing this but can't find the photo.

    I assume the reason will be similar to why they wear 4 kneepads.

    Haha when I saw the name of this thread in the menu I was thinking the same thing; "They wear 2 googles for the same reason they wear 4 kneepads."

    Exactly. It is no different than having 4 kneepads.

    I hope things have improved, but for a long while the average Jundi had the tactical sense of an E2. A poor NCO corps and minimal training is a contributing factor. The above guy wearing 2 goggles is nothing more than tactical fashion, without any understanding of why things are worn or carried.

    I think they may be copying these Iraqis who have turned their goggles around to the back so that they do not interfere with the NODs, and like the kneepads, not understanding why and getting a second set to actually use.
