    MUJAO FIGHTER Empty MUJAO FIGHTER

Post by mitlapass Sat Jan 23, 2016 3:37 am

    Hello,
not really from OEF or OIF, but a resurgence of them.
Here is a fighter from the MUJAO, an AL QAEDA branch, in Sahel.
All stuff brought back from Mali.
So, the mannequin wears a captured malian jacket, a specific desert clothes, AK magazines chest, Mujao flag on the right hand, a french leaflet on the left, a SKS bayonet...AK is an Airsoft one, sorry Very Happy
he is shown in front of the control tower of GAO airfield.

    Regards

    J-Mi

I don't know the name in english, but in french, it is a "Gandoura"
The french army had the same until the Algeria war. It was typical from the saharian troops.

    Great photos! Thanks for sharing!

Ever see anything like this associated with Mali?  This was found at RS-HQ in Kabul, as part of the Afghan Patch Rescue Mission.

I was thinking it could be a French or other coalition unit being reassigned from Afghanistan to Mali. The language is Songhay.

    Thanks! Mark
