Just picked this up, no markings. Anyone have any idea?

Very nice. Looks like an old MLCS pouch but handmade.

It's very well built, feels as strong as any of the big brands. However, the stitching definitely doesn't look professional. Handmade is certainly possible.

Not completely sure, but the webbing looks similar to what you would see 5.11 brand gear.

I've got some coyote 5.11 pouches in my collection, not really close to those. Their coyote shade is quite a bit darker, and their attachment straps are of a different design. 5.11 gear usually has branded buttons as well.

Yea the buttons were what made me think no, but It could be a older version. The newer versions would be in Coyote BROWN instead of the old Coyote TAN and the older versions may not have those special snaps. Just an idea.

The less than stellar craftsmanship seems to point towards a home-brew/custom.

I think it definitely is. It's got some messy stitching, but it's solid. Looks like it's been through a lot too.
I think this might match nicely with a well used drop platform.
