    Unknown Pouch Empty Unknown Pouch

Post by Squeaker Tue Jul 15, 2014 10:52 am

I found this pouch yesterday. I took a gamble on this because I knew it would fit an LBT vest I have. I found no maker tag, writing, or stamps. It looks VERY homemade. A surplus store owner sold all of his old stock to a pawn shop. There were Marine, Air Force, and Army DCUs and BDUs as well. Any thoughts?

Common pouch design, lots of manufactures make some like this.

Is the flap removable? If so it looks similar to the Blackhawk STRIKE double mag M16 pouch. These are similar in design to other pouches, but have a removable flap.

    Are the snaps brass?

It looks like it might possibly be a Condor brand pouch for Airsoft. They giveaway is usually cheaper feeling nylon material, and lower quality non-brass snaps.

The flap is completely removable. It is held in by Velcro. Both parts of the snaps on the back of the pouch are rusted though. This would indicate that they are not brass, correct? I really hope it is not an Airsoft pouch, that would be unfortunate.

It might be. The only ones with removable flaps that I have seen are Blackhawk and Condor. Blackhawk would have brass snaps.

I think this might be a Condor pouch. Mostly used by airsofters, although sometimes soldiers on a budget buy them.

    Just my opinion.

Thanks for the help Anelles. I'm in it for $5, so it's not that bad of a hit. It'll still fit my vest and hold stuff, so that helps.

I thought I would post these here so as not to make another "ID" thread. I saw these two tin the surplus shop today. Can anyone tell me what they were used for and a possible maker? The black one has no tags whatsoever. The tan one just has "Made in USA" inside. I feel like I've seen this particular tag before. I guess more than one manufacturer could have used the same tag.

The black pouch is from the 'Spec-Ops' brand, and is typically sold in an AAFES PX.

Condor may not be as cheap as some suspect. They do have a Cage Code (4SEN6) and some NSNed items:
