Remember we talked about how to post photos? You're getting it, however, my suggestion is pick "IMG code" so the photos will show up instead of link. When you clicked on your photo in photobucket, look at left of screen, you will see this little box "share this image", you will see several different url addresses, choose "IMG code" it is last url.

As for your displays, looking good! Just few pointers. The modified DCUs were used in Afghanistan 2005-2006, I don't know if they worn modified DCUs in Iraq. My suggestion would be pick a MOLLE vest such as Ranger RACK, I don't think I've seen many 173rd guys put pouches directly on their body armors.

Early 173rd in Iraq is right on money however I would suggest you to give him woodland IBA-OTV armor and LC-2 web gear such as Y-harness, pistol belt, maybe four m16 pouches, two canteen pouches, compass pouch, etc... That's what most of 173rd guys worn. You can see a reference photo below. However I don't think they worn body armors when they jumped and I've seen ref photos of LBVs being worn but only few. So your display is fine.

I'm working on my 173rd display as well. Cheers!

    Hello,

I was in the 173rd from 2003-2006. Here is some info that might help you. I got there 1 month before the jump and participated in it as well. We did jump body armor(IBA). Some guys attached pouches, some did not. The guidance was as long as it made tactical sense, you were OK. I am in Iraq now, but when I get home, can send some pics the day after the jump. I deployed to OEF with them in 2005-2006. definitely the best unit I have been in. Great job in keeping the history alive!

I assume you're with 74th Infantry Detachment (Long Range Surveillance), 173rd Airborne Brigade (considering your pseudo) ? That's realy interesting ! It'll be realy great if you can post pictures of your deployments ! Wink Some people here collect 173rd AB equipment, so I'm sure your pictures will have some success !

ps : you're welcome on this forum (for sure !cheers), but please present you in this topic : https://oefoif.forumotion.net/f6-introductions Thanks for comprehension !
