A friend stopped by today and gave me some items. The first is a tour t shirt he had made in 2011 for his team just before deployment.
The back has a design made by him,
Then he gave me the early issue desert Goretex set (with the extra storm hood), along with a couple of rations. These rations are generally high value on swaps made with other country soldiers. These pink ones, having on the inside an high alcoholic beverage for breakfast are very valuable. These two could be easily swapped for a full case of 24 MREs or a pair of Oakley glasses!
