Hallo - a question - was the colour patch of the US Army 1 st Division (The Big Red One) ever produced on a felt back ground ?

I'd agree with Clete on this as well.
The closest you would get would be the ones that sometimes have the black/grey covering on the back of the patch. Not sure if thats felt or not, but it is odd.

I would say that patch is WWI-WWII era
