    T-Shirt Question Empty T-Shirt Question

Post by bryanbg Thu Jan 12, 2017 12:28 am

    I collect military unit/deployment t-shirts.

Today I found this at a thrift store outside Fort Campbell, KY and I'm not really sure what the heck this thing is.

I had thought that perhaps this was custom made for whatever purpose, but found a size tag (XXL).  I'm XXL, and this thing to too small for me.

Is this familiar to anyone here?  Is it from overseas?

    Thanks -

    Bryan

It almost has the look of something which was cobbled together / custom made, however noticed that it has a label with the garment size. If this was a U.S. - or maybe European - made shirt I imagine that it would have had a manufacturer label.

Also it's polyester, rather than a fire-retardant material.

i think it's a commercial compression shirt called "rashguard" worn in combat sports (expecially brazilian ju jitsu and its derivative).

    Maybe used in combatives?

    Good catch - Thank you.

This was one of those items which you look at and wonder "just what the hell is this thing?" This was with several other military shirts, and so it may well have been worn for physical fitness or military combatives training.

At $1.99 I think I didn't really lose out on it!

    Thanks all!
