A few years back (around 2012 to 2014), I saw quite a few pieces (pants and jackets) being sold by the typical eBay surplus dealers. However, those seemed to dry up VERY quickly, and I never snagged any of them for myself.

I'm lucky enough to have gotten a fair amount of the tops but pants are another story. Normally I'm not a pants person, ask Arch, but these have been kind of a unicorn. I know its likely that I've "seen" them, but they're probably just listed as a pair of pants.
Myzone, if you don't mind, could you post photos of the pants and the label inside? I have a suspicion it has the same off color of the tops, but I'd like to know for sure.

Thanks for the pics. They are indeed that off color label just like in the tops. Now I know I can keep my eyes out for them.

Are these more desirable? I've come across with 09 dates, but never bought them.

I have a 09 shirt but never been able to find the 09 pants also.

I would say that they are. The likely reason though is that the tops are easily identifiable while the pants aren't easily distinguished. Another reason may be that the FRACU pants (these are also FR according to the label) were notorious for ripping out the crotch. It may be that a lot more tops survived than bottoms.

If my memory is correct, back when these where tested, A co. 2/508th (82nd Abn) received the test multicam and B co. 2/508th received the UCP-D when they deployed to Afghanistan.
That was a particularly "rough" tour with many, many causalities....One platoon in 2/508th suffered >50% casualty (WIA/KIA) over the deployment.
In all, 3,300 troops from the 82nd's 4th BCT were deployed to southern / western Afghanistan in 2009-2010. The 2/508th was sent to the Argahndab River Valley.

These were manufactured under an old contract number that had a 'modification option' and were made sometime after November 2011.
