Trying to identify this patch.  On the surface it appears to be Syrian but cannot find it in any listings.  Any assistance would be appreciated.Stumped in Maine <a href=Stumped in Maine Troop_11" />

Those are Iraqi flags. What makes you think it's Syrian?

It looks like an Iraqi unit patch of some kind. My guess is that whomever gave it to you would have been an advisor of some type to them. Give it a bit and the experts will weigh in with a bit more info Very Happy

I know the Iraqi TSU used that type lion's head, but not entirely sure what you have there.

It is an Iraqi patch. See translation.
I've published two books on Iraqi Militaria and information on the different units and where they are (were)
    is hard to find.
