    Iraqi Collection

Post by PaulR on Sun Jun 06, 2010 2:52 pm

I will start with this flag. This item, I brought back myself. I am a now a Health Services Chief(Corpsman) in the US Coast Guard. I was shoreside support for the cutters that went up the rivers of Iraq. I was honored to be a part of a few of these patrols.

Army Generals. The Col-General is one paygrade under Saddam. These insignia are completely unissued, as they still have the embroidery connecting strings present.

Thanks! The Coast Guard is still over there, but the rules on our uniforms changed after I left in 2004. First of all, the Arabic script is no longer authorized. Secondly, the dual colored collar devices are no longer authorized(black only). Myself and one other Coast Guard Corpsman were the only ones to ever wear this insignia configuation before the rules were changed.

Great stuff! I really like the Ba'ath Party badge and the flag.

Though i'm not sure why someone would want to pin 'ole Saddam's ugly mug on their shirt and show off lol!
