    Confiscated Jaysh al Mahdi Propaganda

Post by bryanbg on Wed Jan 07, 2015 9:17 pm

During operations in the Hillah - an Najaf areas of south-central Iraq, our unit seized lots of Jaysh al Mahdi (JAM) Shia militia propaganda items.  We ended up with boxes full of posters, flyers, and lots of cd/dvd-sized leaflets which were likely used as inserts to recorded anti-coalition sermons and speeches.

You'll notice the anti-U.S. and anti-Israel images. In several items Moqtada al Sadr is pictured with Lebanese Hezbollah leader Hasan Nasrallah.

The paper is pretty cool, you just dont see a lot being picked up by vets. The Sadr stuff is interesting to look at. Thanks for sharing!
