    I talk to this one active duty Special Forces Sgt Major sporadically....he brought an a native head gear ( I forgot the name scratch ). He worn it while running with the Northern Alliance early on in the opening stages of OEF.

    He let me take pictures of it. Scarf was made of silk. The scarf is wrapped and hangs to the left side when worn.

    I figure at the least a photo may preserve an item in a photo archive rather than to have been seen by only a few. I know 1000's of items are "stuffed-away" in a closet or attic never to be seen again.

    -I have a big grouping to a SF from 3rd Group. On 1 of the photos to that group, the USSF is standing beside a local SF and both of them is whering exact the same headgear as you show in this post.
    Photo taken in Afghanistan and they are both armed to the teath Smile
