    US Iraqi Police Advisor

Take a look at this picture I found online. Look at the guy in the middle, he's wearing the MNF-Iraq on the right sleeve and the 2nd ACR on the left sleeve and the Iraqi flag but it has a rank pin (1 SGT) on his IBA. Take a look.

Now this is a longshot, but is it possible that he was in the US Military before, was of Iraqi descent, had family there, and after he got out went back to Iraq and joined the Iraqi Police Forces?

Something that comes to mind is Mohammed Farrah Aidid's son served with the USMC in Somalia in 92/93 during Operation Restore Hope, he then came back to Somalia and served as a high ranking officer in Aidid's militia after he got out of the Corps.

Guys....this uniform will go for an insane amount in the end, but this appears to be the uniform Andrew posted. I also think Iraqi's MAY wear insignia of the US unit they are attached to or working with. If you notice, the picture Andrew posted...the soldier has shoulder straps on his uniform. No US combat uniform has that feature that I am aware of.

That's an iraqi soldier, it's not at all unusual for Iraqis to wear US patches as nkomo says. I've some photos somewhere of US troops wearing Iraq army patches.

What you see there is an Iraqi soldier who has a buddy in the US military. Its not uncommon for US troops to give patches to the Iraqi's who will wear whatever patches they want, wherever they want. While deployed in 08-09 to Diyala, the local Iraqis were wearing 2nd ACR (Tojours Pret) patches from the guys we replaced. It was also fairly common for Iraqi's to give patches to our soldiers they worked with daily.

About ranks, I think he wears an american rank equivalent to his, because they work hand in hand...do you think it's possible ?
