Thats the end of a combat application tourniquet, kept in the pocket for rapid deployment.

Not sure on that patch. But check this website out http://www.tioh.hqda.pentagon.mil/Recently_Added.aspx it shows units recently added (6 months) and it might be there. I also check the big patch sellers when I see a patch I am not sure of. Thanks!

I only have an older CAT laying around to show. The new ones have a red tip. From what I understand allot of units have an SOP that one must be carried like that in whichever pocket they designate.

I googled again.
I recently saw something on TV at the small red black shoulder bag.
and today the image found.
but I had no idea what it means.
I think German soldiers have no such thing
