    LC2 suspenders dated 2007 Empty LC2 suspenders dated 2007

Hello, ALICE system is obsolete for year now, but i have these suspenders dates 2007. Does anyone know why they were produced late as 2007? It's might be a contract for the national guard, if someone could confirm what I thought.

No I don't think, because the NSN is 8465-00-...-....

Stuff with "00" or "01" is for US military (see : https://oefoif.forumotion.net/t1592-nsn-national-stock-number). These two numbers are NATO reference for US military stuff. Other countries have their own numbers.

Or maybe it was produced for exportation...(but then I doubt they will use 00 or 01 in NSN...)

Don't always assume because of the nation code is the same as the end user, 1976 Tan LC1 system for the Saudi Army has 01 nation code and is listed in US NSN list. Dutch Esbit stoves have a German NSN. While other items that are totally idenical have own idividual NSN with their own nation code, such as the Canadian invented plastic canteen[8465-21-108-8703 Canteen, Water (1960)] and the US M1962 canteen [8465-00-889-3744 Canteen, Water (1963)] and the NBC versions 8465-01-115-0026 Canteen, Water "NBC" (1981) & 8465-21-893-3022 Canteen, Water "NBC" (1985)

In the Army Pre-Ranger courses I've seen a lot of LC-2 Gear and ALICE Packs used for preparing. But this is most likely for Marine Corps Basic Training, the majority of equipment they use is the LC gear for training.

HM. Are you ACTUALLY unable to SEE in these VFW scans that these are COMBAT photos taken OVER THERE? and that 4th ID is NOT Marine...? anyways.... I've been seeing more MOLLE gear show up in Ft. Lewis' training sessions, even the Oregon Military Academy nearby are using MOLLE gear to prep soldiers for combat gear, and when I was over at MCAS Cherry Point in NC as a contractor worker there; they were starting to use MOLLE gear for the first echelon groups....even the second echelon groups had the MOLLE gear....not as much LC gear as you make it sound like...
as for ruck sacks...those have a reason to still be used, their frames and stitching is less likely to shatter upon impact from jumps; unlike the MOLLE pack frames lol. yes you're running risk of breaking the rivets and bending the frames to weird angles if you weren't careful.....but thats why they made millions of these frames.

I guess it's for training use,and maybe for USNG or militia,i've seen them several times in ROTC publicity materials.
