Please take a pic of this dummy! I'm curious. I have one in my bed room, outfitted with modified DCU, ELCS, etc...

Decided to post a few more displays today. First one is a London Bridge Trading Company vest (Model LBT 1961A) on a US Navy badged ACU. Oddly enough...the ACU is dated 2004. Early date.

Next is a 173rd Airborne Display. This display has a Woodland IBA and a Woodland RACK. DCU is named to a Sgt. who made the combat jump into Iraq in 2003. This one is for you Merc! Very Happy

Next display is a S O Tech chest rig worn over a Woodland IBA. This one is missing a few magazine pouches, but I have them stored away in a box. Very Happy

Next display is a named 3-Color FLC vest with pouches worn over a 3-Color IBA. This FLC is named and is exactly how the soldier had it set-up. Here's the kicker....I KNOW I have the soldier's DCU, but can't seem to find it anywhere. Very Happy

I guess I'm funny when it comes to my militaria. I always go after items for my collection that are used and abused. When I do a display...I want it to have that used look. Obviously, not all items can be used and there are times that you have to settle for a new/mint item. However, I'll always have these mint items in reserve for trade or sale when a used one appears on the market.

Before anyone jumps all over me for my above statement. Very Happy ...... each collector has to find his/her own preference for condition of their collectibles. I just choose to buy used/abused items because, in my eyes, they make better display material. I know some collectors who will buy only mint items. I know some who will buy both mint and used examples. Then there are some, like me, who like only used items. To each his own. Very Happy

The modified black BDU set is one that I have been after for a long time. Finally found one that had a SEAL provenance. From what I understand, this set was used by a ST 4 guy during the Drug Wars of the 1990's. The vest is an Eagle tactical vest and is also SEAL used.

The black Pro-Tec helmet was one of the ones that was surplused through the DRMO in the late 90's. It is has the word NINJA painted on the back.

The flag is an origianl 80's vintage large flags that were commonly seen in use by the SF community.

This one is of a USAF Pararescue in early Afghanistan.

The shirt is a standard modified DCU with pockets added to the sleeve.

The body armor is a 2001 dated Protective Products International (PPI).

The vest is a fully loaded early SOE medical vest (2001 time period).

Cap is a heavily used Iowa State ball cap.

This is a 5th Special Forces Group set-up from early Afghanistan.

The jacket is a standard modified DCU with sleeve pockets added.

The body armor is a woodland SPEAR.

The vest is rigger made and has been spray painted tan.

The cap is Boston Red Sox.

Up next is one of my favorite displays.

Uniform is a standard modified DCU with pockets sewn to the sleeves.

The body armor is a 2003 or 2004 dated Protective Products International (PPI) with places for the hard armor. You can see where the hard plates have worn an indentation into the fabric.

The vest is a HEAVILY modified Blackhawk Commando chest rig. I have posted pictures of the modifications on another thread on the forum.

The helmet is a purchase from Longbranch and I feel it rounds out the display nicely.

I would like to add that my wife made the mannequin you see in posts 40 to 43. They are the best mannequins I have ever owned. Cheap to make too.

BEAUTIFUL DISPLAYS! They just keep getting better everytime you post here.

I can't believe that I missed your 173rd DCU with RACK display. Neat one too!

I appreciate the compliment, Merc. I know my displays aren't perfect, but I do enjoy putting them together.

Nice displays Arch. I like how you've built the loadouts and probably the original owners they had very similar.
