    Modified Combat Knife

Post by nkomo on Tue Mar 30, 2010 4:12 am

Okay....this is an odd one. This is a heavily modified Aqualung dive knife (at least I think it is a dive knife). Very heavy knife and very utilitarian. This knife will never win a prize for it's looks, but it sure as hell would get the job done. The sheath is made of a hard plastic material that is covered in Cordura nylon. It is made to be attached to a belt. Soldier has also included an extra tie down at the top. Definitely a combat used knife.

The top picture shows the back side of the knife. What you might not be able to see is that the back has little spaces that ALICE clips can be attached to to help hang the knife at different angles on the webbing.

In this picture, you can see the green webbing strap on the top that can be utilized as an extra tie down.

The blade on this knife is 7 1/2 inches long. The knife is just a tad under 13 inches long overall. If anyone has information about this knife or know if the SF modified knives like these....please let me know.

I would love to own this so I could use it for opening a beer bottle! Laughing

Nice knife. Doesn't it make you wonder who used it?

Ahhhh....it would be great to know who owned this piece and know where it was used. However, all that information has been lost to time.

I was looking at the Yarborough knives and noticed the sheath looks similar to the sheath I have. I say similar because they aren't exactly alike.
