US. Navy JTF-GTMO
JTF-GTMO stands for "Joint Task Force, Guantanamo" A US prison for terrorists in Cuba.

Re: US. Navy JTF-GTMO
I just wanted to let you know how incredibly rare this DCU is in comparison to other DCU's. These rarely come up for sale. Honestly, these are much more rare than any Special Forces DCU out there. I have three and would never part with any of mine. These should be highly collectible in the future because of the contreversial nature of the US holding terrorists in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Nice score and quite rare.
Also, here is a little more information on JTF-GTMO.

I'll go out on a limb here and say this much, I think these items will be as valuable and as historically significant as uniforms used by guards at the Nuremburg Trials at the end of World War 2.

Sure, will do.
Also I forgot to mention that in the photo of a DCU black guy is wearing.... It had velcro backing name tape just like mine! Assuming they do that so they can re-issue to sailors, they just apply their own name tape instead of pain-taking sewing.

Or...they could take it off while working with the prisoners. They may be afraid of intel getting back to the enemy on who was in the prisons and who the guards were.

My thoughts as well Andrew. There has always been an issue of a soldier's personal information around Al-Qaeda and other terrorists. There is always a fear that these terrorists could get a soldiers/guards name and somehow comunicate it back to other operatives. Then the family of the guard/soldier may be in danger or the family could be used as leverage against the guard/soldier.

I am sure there is a way. You will just have to troll Ebay and other collector sites. You will also need to be patient. These uniforms and badges rarely come up for sale. They are also highly sought after by collectors due to the nature of where the uniform/badge was used.
I normally shy away from talking about prices or specualting on future prices, but the JTF-GTMO DCU's are one item that I expect to go up in price.

I missed out on one months ago and have been trying to track one down since, If anybody sees one of these around for a good price, shoot me a PM.
Thats just OUTSTANDING P-E, these are some of the coolest and most potentially valuable jackets out there to day IMHO.

Re: US. Navy JTF-GTMO
Hey guy, it's always possible to find one ! I bought mine one week ago to a guy on USMF. I paid $15 + shipping price. Jacket is used, but in good condition and size medium regular ! It's a jacket for men but no name and no ID of any sort inside.
Here's my jacket I received today morning ;

I found some others pictures today, where we can clearly see the patch ! Here are they ;

Here're all beautiful pictures I found directly on JTF-GTMO website : http://www.jtfgtmo.southcom.mil/archives/photoarchives.html.
They all shows the desert or woodland jacket with JTF-GTMO patch.
As you can see, men worn the patch sew on the upper torso pocket, and for women the patch is sew on above the pocket !

Pierre,
Congratulations on a super rare find! Hold on to that one. I'm betting these will be worth some decent money someday.

Interestingly, seems like they have two options of placement of patch: Above pocket or on pocket.

Re: US. Navy JTF-GTMO
Actually Pierre...I have three JTF-GTMO DCU's. One is exactly like yours and the other two have had the name tapes removed by the seller...but was able to grab the name off the auction before he removed the tapes. I'll see if I can dig them out for pics. My collection is stored in a small room right now and it is darn near impossible to get to everything
. I know I have them hung up on a door hanger. Let me see what I can find.
