Qatari Insignia and Flag

here are some examples of Qatari ranks and money that I brought back from there in 2003. I got all of these rank sets from the clothing issue facility at Camp As Sayliyah while on an R & R trip. The Sergeant rank with the pocket tab was mine. I was sent to the clothing facility to get one as I was selected as a "flight" leader for my aircraft. Basically I had to ensure that everyone who arrived for r & r departed on the same flight. If there were any issues in between I would then have to take the documentation back to Baghdad for the offending soldiers commander. Lucky for me there were no issues! So, when I got the pocket patch, I helped myself to a few others that were in the box! Scott.

Here is a Qatari flag that I picked up there as well. It is a cotton flag and has a sleeve for a pole to slide through. These were available through the embroidery shops in town and I had one embroidered as well. I will post another time. Scott.
