Thats what I and a coworker who was 101st were thinking. He wasnt familiar with it.

Yes you are correct. It is the helmet patch of the 101st Sustainment BDE. The patch signifies the support to the 4 Infantry BDEs of the 101st; 327th (Club), 502nd (Heart), 187th(Tori) and 506th (Spade). That's why each BDE symbol is in each corner of the four pointed star.
