Hey guys, just wanted to share my latest buy. Its a Beyond Tactical "Advantage" set in AOR2. The pattern itself appears to be lighter than the pattern nowadays, but it appears to have been washed a few times so I am not sure. The cut and layout of the uniform is great!
This is some info I got from someone in the business
"The Beyond Combat BDU set you have is the 1st pattern, and it is the same coloration as current AOR2.....yours looks like it was washed a couple times.
The second pattern has added Velcro for name tapes, and US Flags on the shoulders above the pockets.
Beyond makes some very nice product, and their entire Navy production from the AOR1/AOR2 line to the specialty fabric line: Grey, Tan, Black and hunterflage......to Multicam (which is available to anyone (don't order USAF packets if you are doing a Navy or PJ thing).
There is also a new AOR2 pattern being issued in test batches to East and West Coast Blue water sailors and commands. The pocket placement is different than NSW issue and the pattern is a "dicked up" verticle AOR2......which actually stands out quite a bit from regular AOR2."
