    2-3 SBCT, Arrowhead Brigade Combat Team Prayer rug

    I just got this from Skio on USMF, these are very interesting. This prayer rug is from OIF I/II, made for the 2-3 infantry, it is very nicely embroidered and was unopened when I bought it. It is an outstanding deep green that doesnt show up well on camera, and has a cool Stryker embroidered on it.




    The rug was made in Turkey apparently

    Thanks Arch! YEah, I thought it was something interesting that would display VERY well in the future. I just dont have the space right now.

    I've thought about buying it because it would make a nice background for 2nd ID display. But due to lack fund I didn't go after it.

    funny item ! I also see it on USMF. I think I've pictures of these prayer rugs inside "souvenirs shops" in Iraq. I'll check my pictures. They are commercial only.

    Amazing to see how these prayer rugs travelled : made in SAR (South Africa Republic), after sent in Iraq (and border countries) where they were probably embroidered and finally bought by a soldier who brought it home.
