Re: No Easy Day
Although I have mixed feelings about the author violating his statements of non-discosure I did buy and read the book. it is an interesting read on several levels as it discusses other operations and activities in addition to Neptune's Spear. I'm not sure that it lives up to the hype (real or fabricated) but all things considered it's worthy of your time in reading if you have any interest in NSW or Special Operations Forces in the GWOT. That said, it is not the best book to be published in the last 18 months that has seen a number of NSW/SEAL books released.
There is also an ebook titled No Easy Op released by the Special Operations Forces Situation Report (SOFREP) that is a good short read to accompany the above. It discusses several operational revelations as well as issues created by the release of the book and other concerns in/of the Pentagon, USSOCOM, JSOC, etc ..... Amazon has the ebook available for instant download priced at $4.99.
My thoughts only ......
